From Eduverse lesson to classroom feedback: one connected workflow

An Eduverse lesson can be a starting point rather than a script. The teacher workspace connects the path from finding a lesson to responding to student work, while keeping the published lesson and the teacher's version separate.

The workflow at a glance

The left navigation is organized around three cumulative sections:

1. Teach — preview published Eduverse science lessons and activities filtered to the grades selected in your teaching profile. At launch, this catalog is shown only for Alberta teacher profiles. The published lesson stays read-only, and no student accounts are needed.
2. Plan — copy a lesson into your planning workspace. You can adapt the title, timing, teacher-set learning goals, materials, lesson phases, assessment, differentiation, and notes without changing the published Eduverse lesson. The copy retains its source link and a snapshot of what was copied.
3. Manage — assign the adapted lesson to an active class at the corresponding grade. Eduverse stores a frozen, field-limited, student-facing brief for that assignment, so later edits to the teacher copy do not change what students received.

What students receive

The assigned brief includes the teacher's assignment instructions, teacher-set learning goals, materials, and student directions. Teacher actions, assessment notes, differentiation notes, teacher notes, and the source snapshot are not included.

In the current interface, a student can choose to add a written response and one supported image or PDF attachment. A student can also complete without an attachment. When the teacher sends written feedback, the student can reopen the completed lesson and read the feedback beside the work they submitted.

What teachers review

In Classroom → Submissions, the teacher can see who has completed the adapted lesson, open each student's written response or attachment, and send written feedback. Teacher feedback review is tracked separately from lesson completion.

This is a lightweight submission-and-feedback loop. Its evidence-review panel does not include a rubric or score input. Teachers can state their work-submission expectation in the assignment instructions.

Why the published lesson stays read-only

The workflow keeps three distinct representations: the published Eduverse lesson, the teacher-edited lesson plan, and the assignment's frozen student-facing snapshot. That separation lets a teacher adapt a plan while preserving where it came from and controlling which fields students receive.

Where each tier fits

Teach is available at no charge with an Eduverse teacher account. The paid Planning plan unlocks Plan tools. The paid Classroom plan unlocks Manage and includes Plan. Current plan details are on the teacher page.
